Kazue Satou (佐藤 和枝 Satou Kazue) is a student of 9th Grade Class 3 in 1998. She sits in front of Mei Misaki in the classroom.
Appearance[]
Kazue is an attractive pale girl of above average height, being the tallest girl in the class. She has gray eyes and dark brown hair tied up into a ponytail, with two strands on the sides and a fringe.
She was only ever seen wearing the standard female school uniform.
Personality[]
Kazue is shown as a serious and mature girl who does not smile much, but despite that, she is always friendly with her friends, San Watanabe and Haruka Etou.
Plot[]
Kazue wasn't a major fixture of class 3-3 and was very briefly involved with Kōichi and Izumi's groups. She was present for Mr. Kubodera's suicide and was one of the students who fled the room thereafter.
After the intensely traumatic event, Kazue's parents likely removed her from the class, as she didn't attend the class trip and wasn't among the survivors who gathered at the hospital. Her current status is unknown, though it's extremely likely she survived the curse.

- Kazue is one of the few students who didn't join the trip and thus survived the horrible events at the inn.
