Kensaku Numata was Ikuo Takabayashi's grandfather and Keiko Numata's husband. He is the proprietor of Sakitani Kinenkan along with his wife.
Appearance[]
Kensaku is an old man with very short gray hair, black eyes, and a gray mustache. He wears a purple shirt and a yellow apron, like his wife.
Personality[]
Kensaku seemed to be serious and rational.
Plot[]
Kensaku made his debut in Episode 10 when he welcomed a part of 9th Grade Class 3 who came to the Yomiyama Shrine to pray for their safety, hoping this action would stop the calamity, along with Keiko, his wife. The class is accommodated at their restaurant-pension.
In Episode 11, Kensaku was killed by his wife, who stabbed him with multiple knives, which was witnessed by Yūya Mochizuki and Naoya Teshigawara. She later sets fire to the dining room, which leads to the deaths of Takako Suguira and Makoto Ōji and the entire inn burning down.
