Sakuma (佐久間, Sakuma [first name unknown]) was a student in 9th Grade Class 3-3 in 1996 and the non-existent student of that year. He never appeared in the anime.
Appearance[]
Sakuma has short dark hair and dark eyes. He wears the school standard male uniform.
Personality[]
Sakuma was described by Tachibana as a quiet, unobtrusive kid. He couldn't take being the non-existent student because of the pressure and alienation that came with the role.
Story[]
Sakuma appeared in Tachibana's flashback in Chapter 11. When she was at school, suddenly she heard Sakuma saying, "You think "I'm not there", but I'm right here. Look at me. Look at me. Look at me. Look at me". After semester 2, because of the pressure and alienation, he broke the agreement, leading to the start of the calamity in October. After New Year's Day of 1997, he committed suicide.
