Tachibana-Senpai (橘, Tachibana) (as called by Mei) is one of the art club senpai. She never appeared in the anime.
Appearance[]
Tachibana has light, wavy hair tied in a loose ponytail. She was also seen wearing a clip. Her eyes are dark, and she usually wears the school's standard female uniform.
Personality[]
Mei claimed that whenever it came to nonexistent students like herself and Kōichi, Tachibana wasn't sure how to respond, often becoming terrified. Unlike most senpai, Tachibana refused to give Mei advice. She is kind-hearted and feels guilty because of her past of witnessing the "non-existent" student mentally break down in front of the class due to his role. She seems to be naïve and optimistic, and looks innocent and humble.
Plot[]
Tachibana debuted in Chapter 11 as an art club-senpai and an ex 9th Grade Class 3-3 student from 1996. She entered Misaki M. Studio so she could speak with Mei, who was in the basement. According to Mei, Tachibana was informed by Yūya Mochizuki about what was happening with the class this year, and that she appeared to know that Mei was chosen as the non-existent student this year. When Mei spoke with her on topics related to her time in the class, she didn't give her any advice and looked really jumpy throughout the discussion, so Mei started asking a couple of questions. When Mei asked about Mami Asakura, the 1996 Extra, she said that she couldn't recall anything about her, but then heard stories about a girl with that name after the school year was over. When Mei asked about the "non-existent" student from that year, she tells her that his name was Sakuma, who was always a "quiet unobtrusive kid", and that after the start of semester 2, because of the pressure and alienation that came with the role, he snapped and demanded everyone in the class to acknowledge his presence, abandoning the role. This violated the class decision, leading to the start of the calamity in October. After New Year's Day in 1997, he committed suicide.
Trivia[]

- She appears in both the manga and the novel.
- She's an occasional visitor to Misaki M. Studio, as she likes dolls. However, before she met with Mei in 1998, she hadn't visited in a long time.
